The 74R2 Electric Strike is engineered for narrow stile rim exit devices equipped with 1/2" Pullman latchbolts, ideal for aluminum applications. It opens electrically under 25 lbs of preload, which is pressure exerted on doors by air conditioning systems, warping, or misaligned hardware that can disable typical electric strikes.
