A worn out fuel injection pump will pull too many amps through this PMD and will burn it out. Many times the original cause of failure of your PMD is from a worn out fuel pump. We also sell a PMD relocation kit that can allow this to be mounted in a cooler part of the engine bay. Please keep in mind relocation does not correct the worn out fuel pump issue and it actually can add resistance to the circuit and fail even quicker by extending the length of the wiring.
