(8) Metric 10.9 Class (metric equivalent to Grade 8) hardened yellow zinc plated flange bolts and prevailing torque flange lock nuts for the rear control arms on all 1997-2006 Wrangler TJ's and LJ's. These are the correct size metric bolts. No drilling or modification is needed and they will fit the OEM control arms as well as all aftermarket control arms that say to reuse the factory bolts. These bolts are also fully shouldered rather than the poor fitting partial shoulder factory bolts. They will fit better than OEM reducing play in the suspension that can lead to death wobble. Includes: 4 Upper control arm bolts and nuts, 4 Lower control arm bolts and nuts, 2 Upper control arm flag nuts for the frame side. The flag nuts are used for the rear upper control arms on the frame side. They replace the weak factory flag nuts. They are double the thickness of OEM, 10.9 Class prevailing torque flanged lock nuts are welded to the brackets (not just press fit like OEM) and they are yellow zinc plated for excellent corrosion protection. Flag nuts replace Mopar 6503648. This set is intended for the rear control arms, however it will also fit the front control arms but 2 of the bolts in the set will not be used. This is because the front lower axle side requires either cam bolts or a cam bolt delete kit (this is recommended.) Note about the front lower axle side bolts: If you have an early TJ (mid-1999 or earlier) it would have come from the factory with cam bolts on the front lower axle side. The cam bolts were problematic and weak so Jeep quit using them after mid-1999. All TJ's after mid-1999 came from the factory with a cam bolt eliminator. I have a cam bolt eliminator kit available in my store separately. This kit can be used on all TJ's 1997-2006 to replace the front lower axle side bolts and is the best option to get rid of the cam bolts. If you do need caster adjustment for a lift, using adjustable lower control arms is the recommend way to do that. We also carry a full front and rear set. Sold by a small business in the US.
