The Rhino-Rack backbone is an interior structure set up on the inside of the Jeep JL Wrangler. Three plates on each side of the Jeep's hard top are connected with the interior frame extending your roof line to carry heavier loads with the max Load rating of up to 120kg or 264lb.

• INCREASED CAPACITY - Strengthen your Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited hard top so that you can mount a Pioneer Platform & increase your cargo capacity. The Backbone adds structural strength, enabling a higher roof load limit & improves cargo carrying ability.
• THREE MOUNTING POINTS - The three mounting points on each side of the roof system add mountable capacity and weight distribution for a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform, Vortex Bars or Heavy Duty Bars. Perfect for Jeep Wrangler accessories.
• NO INTERFERANCE - Won't interfere with the removal of your Freedom panels or hard top, since the kit bolts to your hard top both internally with the reinforced structure and externally via the mounting brackets.
• CARRY MORE - 76% More load capacity (114lbs more) is what you get compared to a roof rack mounted directly to the hard top. The factory non-stationary cap is 150lbs, which means you get an additional 114 lbs carrying capacity with the Rhino-Rack Backbone.
• INTERNAL BRACKETS install around the window frame and bear the weight from the roof, carrying the load from the roof down into the vehicle's steel body, greatly reducing the roof load pressure. Parked max load is 795 lbs. Moving max load 265 lbs.
