This simplex water softener, a high-efficiency conventional cation exchanger, caters to point-of-use or point-of-entry applications. It features a 21-inch diameter mineral tank, 7 cubic feet of high-capacity ion exchange resin, and a peak flow rate of up to 77 gallons per minute. With a 2-inch FNPT inlet and outlet, and a 1-inch MNPT drain, it replaces scale-forming ions with sodium ions to produce soft water. This NSF and ANSI certified system includes a mineral tank, resin, and a corrosion-resistant brass control valve operated by an electronic controller. It initiates regeneration only when needed, conserving time, water, and salt.
